In Netaji Nagar, Raichur, Earanna Kosagi spends at least 2 hours every morning maintaining the small nursery in his backyard and planting saplings all over the city. He also goes from house to house asking residents if they want a new plant in their backyard, and then proceeds with the planting. Since 2006, he has managed to plant at least 10,000 plants, entirely free of cost. Since Raichur suffers from a severe dearth of rain, he also spends time manually watering his plants everyday. All he wants is a Raichur as green and as vibrant as the Western Ghats.
